I have been collecting watches and clocks for over 30 years and have a specific interest in military timepieces. However, quality watch repair is difficult and lengthy, and good watchmakers are extremely hard to find. The watchmaker who services all of our watch related needs, beyond simple battery replacement and watch band services, has been repairing watches since the late 1980′s. He carries certifications from both Rolex and Tag-Heuer and is also the treasurer for the local watchmaker’s guild. Our watchmaker provides our customers with not only knowledgable and skilled experience but convenience as well. Since he is a Greensboro local, and works from his home, your favorite watch does not have to be shipped to Switzerland to be repaired. Watch repair is not a simple or easy process and requires an extensive amount of time to do well. This is mainly due to the fact that watches are highly complex machines, consisting of hundreds of minuscule parts which all must precisely placed for any timepiece to function correctly. Also, many repairs on older watches are subject to the availability of highly specialized pieces that may no longer be available from the manufacturer or be in very limited supply. Unlike many jewelers, we will accept any watch for repair, perform an estimate for you and accomplish that needed repair in a timely manner. Our staff will keep you informed of repairs that are handled off premises and answer any questions you may have when repairs are delayed by material backorders, delays with our watchmaker or factory services. We service all makes, models and age watches, such as Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Rolex, Raymond Weil, Tag-Heuer, Vacheron Constantine, Omega, Glashutte, Sinn, Seiko, Citizen, Swiss Army, Zenith, Montblanc, Elgen, Pulsar, Gucci, Movado, and Timex. Watch Battery Replacement Options Almost all watch batteries can be replaced in store while you wait. We offer three distinct watch battery options (listed below) to better suit your individual needs. We write all of our warranties on the inside back of the watch, so there is no need to keep track of any paperwork or receipts. As a courtesy, we also set the time and date of every watch we service. Each price includes tax. Lifetime Warranty– $35 silver oxide / $50 lithium* If you would like to only pay ONCE for all the batteries we will EVER put in your watch, then this warranty is for you. Under this warranty we replace the battery and refurbish or replace the gasket** for the lifetime of the watch at no extra cost. Three Year Warranty– $25 silver oxide / $40 lithium Under this warranty, in addition to replacing the battery for three years, we also refurbish or replace the gasket* at no extra cost. Basic Battery - $15 silver oxide / $20 lithium We warranty all of our batteries for at least one year. At this level, If the gasket* needs to be replaced there is an additional $5 charge. *Lithium batteries are required only for watches that already contain a lithium ion cell. Lithium batteries cannot be put into a watch that contains a silver oxide battery. Watches that commonly contain a lithium cell are those with a digital display of any kind or have an illuminating dial. For example any watch that says“Timex Indiglo” on the dial will require a lithium cell. **If the watch is indicated by the manufacturer to be water resistant, the gasket provides a way to maintain that resistance, allowing the wearer to (depending on the level of water resistance indicated) wash their hands, shower, swim, etc., without fear of damaging their watch Watch Band Adjustments– $13 We are happy to size any watch band that is able to be sized. If you need a watch band enlarged you will have to supply the extra links. Watch band adjustments can be performed while you wait. Higher End Swiss Watches– $75 + tax Many fine Swiss watch manufacturers, such as Tag-Heuer, Omega, Raymond Weil, and many others, suggest you send the watch to the factory for a battery replacement, often costing an excess of $200. When servicing these watches we: replace the battery and lubricate the case and crown gaskets; It may seem simple but without proper training a watch can be easily damaged during this process. We train our associates to be able to perform battery replacements on watches of this caliber without causing any harm to the watch. Watches in this category, batteries carry our basic one year warranty. Need a new watch?
